Turn PNG images into smaller JPG files. Transparent areas become white.
PNG images · convert one or many at once
Transparent areas become white when converting to JPG. Animated GIFs are converted as a single still frame.
PNG files keep every pixel exactly, which makes screenshots and photos very large. JPG uses smart compression that is hard to see by eye, so a photo saved as JPG is often five to ten times smaller than the PNG. That helps with email limits, upload limits and page speed.
JPG cannot be transparent, so any see-through area is filled with white. If you need to keep transparency, convert to WebP or leave the file as PNG.
The conversion runs in your browser and your files are never uploaded.
JPG is lossy, but at 90% quality the difference is hard to notice. You can raise the quality slider for a closer match.
